Every time that John says Sherlock’s name in Series 1 and 2.
May I just point out that although Reichenbach is 1/6th of the total screen time of the series, it takes up somewhere around 1/3rd of the time in this recording? It’s very telling. And so is the fact that a bunch of the Reichenbach quotes were John talking to Mycroft about Sherlock, because John’s there for his friend during the entire episode, even from behind the scenes. Because even though TRF was about Sherlock’s fall from grace, it was built up so the audience would connect with John’s horror and John’s heartbreak at the fall. Listening to this, you can actually hear how horribly methodical the character development in the episode was - Sherlock pulling away, trying to detach himself bit by bit, and John running after him as always. Trying to catch him, trying to get him back. Right until the end.
