In modern-day London, Loki’s plans for world domination have finally succeeded; the Avengers are locked in the most high-security constraints Loki can devise. Paradoxically, Moriarty rises to the challenge: his aim, to play the ultimate Devil’s Advocate. He plots to defy the ruling regime and liberate the heroes who will, in their bid for the world’s freedom, once again plunge the world into chaos.

Sherlock Holmes seeks a flatmate. The girl who shows up is the single most obvious, readable human being he’s ever met: she’s self-conscious, judging by the state of her fingernails; headstrong, judging by the premature formation of a wrinkle in-between her eyebrows; moralistic, judging by the fact that her jumper has a few stitches awry just where an activist’s pin might sit … she’s likely fresh out of graduate school, too absorbed in books (like those that her frayed-around-the-corners bag is obviously used to carrying) to be anything but boring. He is about to dismiss her.
And then she leads the conversation with a stream of information about how the cadavers she’s examined have varied in post-mortem decay according to what type of water they’ve drowned in.
Sherlock may have to reconsider.
